I’ve had off and on trouble with gray squirrels eating up all the suet at my bird feeding station. My hopeful solution? This spicy suet!

I regularly have a suet log bird feeder out during the winter and spring for my neighborhood birds. Woodpeckers, Nuthatches, and Chickadees all seem to enjoy it. I purchased some Pine Tree Farm Log Jammers Insect Suet Plugs to use in the feeder a few weeks ago and wanted to write a review on the product and if it’s worth your time and money.
I’ve tested a ton of suet for bird feeding over the years and the Attractor Peanut Suet Plugs are one of my favorite products to use for my birch log suet feeder. I’ve witnessed Downy, Hairy, and Red-Bellied Woodpeckers all eat this regularly.
I’ve been feeding birds outside of my apartment for years. Different types of bird feeders come and go with the seasons (and whatever I happen to impulse-buy). But, one feeder is constantly hanging from my balcony: A Suet Log feeder.
I love feeding the woodpeckers outside of my apartment patio. I have a suet log feeder that woodpeckers love to cling from while they have a snack. I needed a re-stock in a pinch and ordered a Wildlife Sciences Suet Plugs variety pack off Amazon.
Is a $150 squirrel-proof bird feeder really worth it? Enter the Droll Yankee Flipper. This bird feeder stops squirrels in their tracks.
I needed to replenish my supply of sunflower seed for my bird feeders recently and decided to try a new seed for a change: Wild Delight Sunflower Chips.
I recommend people experiment with mealworms for bird feeding. They’re a good source of protein and calcium.
I recently bought the Kingsyard two-for-one seed and suet hopper bird feeder from Amazon. It has a unique design and I wanted to test if it would be a good fit for my rotating suet and seed bird feeders.
When I started bird feeding a few years ago, my top goal was to attract a Northern Cardinal. I’ve always been enamoured with this bird. Recently, I’ve been lucky to have a pair of Cardinals visiting the Solution4Patio Homes Cedar Bird Feeder I have hanging out. With that, I wanted to write a quick review on the feeder, and why I think it’s worth buying.
