It’s great to have a pair of quality binoculars for birdwatching. Yes, you can see a ton of birds while you’re out and about. But having binoculars allows you to get a closer look at more details.
I recently purchasedĀ a bag of Old Potters Wildlife Sunflower Chips & Hearts from Amazon on a sale. I got a three pound bag to test it out as a quality bird seed for my neighborhood Northern Cardinals.
When I started bird feeding a few years ago, my top goal was to attract a Northern Cardinal. I’ve always been enamoured with this bird. Recently, I’ve been lucky to have a pair of Cardinals visiting the Solution4Patio Homes Cedar Bird Feeder I have hanging out. With that, I wanted to write a quick review on the feeder, and why I think it’s worth buying.
Ahhh Costco…it’s a store that fills me with an equal mix of wonder and anxiety. The prices and things you’ll find are tough to beat. So, when I saw a giant bag of Costco Bird seed, I had to get it.
I’ve tested a ton of suet for bird feeding over the years and the Attractor Peanut Suet Plugs are one of my favorite products to use for my birch log suet feeder. I’ve witnessed Downy, Hairy, and Red-Bellied Woodpeckers all eat this regularly.
As a bird feeding enthusiast for several years, I love preaching the benefits of splurging on squirrel proof bird feeders. If you want to avoid feeding squirrels, it’s well worth buying one.
In my years of feeding the birds, suet is something I always have out at my feeders. It’s a great food for attracting Woodpeckers, Chickadees, Nuthatches and other birds (my local Crows also like it).
I woke up on the date of writing this story to a feels like temperature of -35 in Minnesota. I wanted to do some research on some of the most highly-rated heated bird baths I could find online.
I’m constantly trying new bird seeds to ensure my neighborhood Northern Cardinals are happy and stopping by my feeders. I recently bought a three pound bag of Valley Farms Black Oil Sunflower Seed and it’s another cheap bird seed find I’d highly recommend for Cardinals, and other birds!
